My Story
I didn't get a clean start.
I built one.
I moved out on my own after leaving a difficult home situation. No plan, no cushion, just the decision that I was done waiting for things to get better.
I dropped out of high school. I'm not hiding it. I've been turned away from entry-level jobs, cashier positions, mall retail, customer service roles, because I don't have a diploma. I've sat across from hiring managers and watched them pass over me for something I don't have on paper.
"Rejection taught me more than those jobs ever would have."
So I found work that doesn't ask for credentials: construction. I show up every day, put in the hours, and keep the lights on. That's the foundation. And while I'm on the job site, I'm also building something else.
